Objective

In Section 3 of this guide we will cover the functionality of the application and train you in the associated processes within the application that you will be using. In addition we will provide you with key connections and best practices. If you have questions please do not hesitate to reach out to your implementation manager or any other member of the Avianis team.

Each portion of this section is broken into three steps, Prepare, Train, and Take it Further. These steps will help you complete the training process in an efficient manner. In addition you will find information on key connections to help you understand how the information ties in together.

Crew Records

Prepare – Work with your crew records manager and/or team to review your current processes, documentation methods, qualification items, and crew training programs. Ensure you understand these areas before training.

Train – Your implementation manager will discuss crew profile setup, training program setup, regulatory set setup, and review crew specific reports. In addition they will review how these can be used to check crew currency.

Take if further – Complete the setup of your crew profile, programs, regulatory sets, and associate them with each other. When complete look at the crew reports to review your crews’ currency and qualifications. Use these reports to forecast next steps for your flight department.

Crew Records Training Checklist

Prepare:

Train:

  • Crew profile setup

  • Regulatory set setup
  • Crew specific reports

Take it further:

  • Complete setup of crew profiles, training programs, and regulatory sets
  • Associate those items with each other
  • Pull crew records reports and review them

Maintenance

Prepare – Work with your maintenance manager and/or team to review your current processes, documentation methods, discrepancy (squawk) reporting, and aircraft inspections. Ensure you understand these areas.

Train – Your implementation manager will discuss maintenance integrations setup and functionality, discrepancy tracking, inspection tracking, and scheduling aircraft offline events.

Take it further – When you complete training setup the maintenance section, complete the necessary integrations, create discrepancies, and create job cards. When complete look at the maintenance reports to review upcoming inspections and other maintenance information.

Maintenance Training Checklist

Prepare:

  • Meet with your maintenance manger or maintenance team

Train:

  • Tracking maintenance requirements

Take it further:

  • Complete setup of associated charter sales sections of Avianis
  • Create quotes
  • Pull sales reports

Operations

Prepare – Work with your flight operations team in conjunction with your charter sales and maintenance teams to outline your processes for conducted operations. Pay particularly close attention to the life cycle of trips. Ensure you understand these processes and cycles prior to beginning training.

Train – Your implementation manager will cover trip specific configurations, customer records, trip life cycle, and flight release processes in Avianis. Furthermore they will cover flight crew scheduling, and flight time and duty time logging processes in Avianis.

Take it further – Begin mapping your processes to the solutions found in the application, note similarities and differences between your processes and the application. Conduct operations within the application. After several operations have been completed pull the operational reports. Begin utilizing these reports to forecast operational needs and make strategic decisions about your flight operations.

Operations Training Checklist

Prepare:

  • Meet with your flight operations team and charter sales team
  • Discuss flight operations 
  • Discuss trip life cycle

Train: 

  • Trip specific configurations
  • Customer records
  • Trip life cycle
  • Flight release processes

Take it further:

  • Align processes with Avianis
  • Conduct operations
  • Pull operational reports

Finance

Prepare – Work with your finance manger and/or financial team to understand your processes, documentation, expense reporting, and invoicing requirements. Ensure you have a good understanding of these processes and requirements prior to beginning training.

Train – Your implementation manager will discuss finance specific configurations, trip and non-trip expense entry, and invoice creation. The integration with Quick Books Online will be covered as well if you utilize that application.

Take it further – Work with your teams to utilize the application, creating and logging financial information related to their work. Generate invoices and log expenses in the application. When complete begin pulling financial reports to help track expenses, invoices, and other financial data. Utilize these reports to assist in making business decisions.

Take it further – Work with your business leaders in each section to ensure they understand the functionality and reporting capabilities.
